The Australian Centre for Student Equity and Success acknowledges Indigenous peoples across Australia as the Traditional Owners of the lands on which the nation’s campuses are situated. With a history spanning more than 60,000 years as the original educators, Indigenous peoples hold a unique place in our nation. We recognise the importance of their knowledge and culture, and reflect the principles of participation, equity, and cultural respect in our work. We pay our respects to Elders past, present, and future, and consider it an honour to learn from our Indigenous colleagues, partners, and friends.

Interested applicants must be students enrolled in either a Master by Research degree or equivalent (AQF Level 9) or a Doctor of Philosophy degree or equivalent (AQF Level 10) at any one of Australia’s Table A and Table B provider universities.

Students from all disciplines are invited to apply, but research projects must be on a topic relating to equity in Australian higher education practice and policy.

Applications open on Thursday, 27 February 2025 and close at 4pm (AWST) on Wednesday, 7 May 2025. ACSES will acknowledge receipt of all applications submitted, and outcomes will be announced by June 2025.
