The Australian Centre for Student Equity and Success acknowledges Indigenous peoples across Australia as the Traditional Owners of the lands on which the nation’s campuses are situated. With a history spanning more than 60,000 years as the original educators, Indigenous peoples hold a unique place in our nation. We recognise the importance of their knowledge and culture, and reflect the principles of participation, equity, and cultural respect in our work. We pay our respects to Elders past, present, and future, and consider it an honour to learn from our Indigenous colleagues, partners, and friends.

About

The 2025 Program will provide two fully-funded annual fellowships for researchers and practitioners in higher education, to complete a project that will inform an area of Australian higher education practice and policy in relation to domestic students, via a combination of research, translation, best practice implementation, evaluation, and knowledge transfer.

Fellowships are open to staff of Australian universities currently receiving funding for equity programs through the Australian Government’s Higher Education Participation and Partnerships Program (HEPPP).

Applicants are sought from a broad range of backgrounds (practitioners, researchers, managers), areas (those that contribute to enhancing student equity/student experience, including, but not limited to, designated equity roles) and career stages (early, middle, later).

The value of each Fellowship will be up to $230,000 (ex-GST) for one year.

Applications open on Monday, 5 August 2024 and close at 4pm (AWST) on Friday, 27 September 2024. ACSES will acknowledge receipt of all applications submitted and outcomes of the selection process will be announced in early November 2024.

More information, including details on how to apply, is available in the downloadable documents below. To assist applicants with the preparation of their applications, ACSES can provide, on request, a copy of successful proposals from previous fellowships rounds courtesy of successful Fellows who have generously granted the Centre permission to do so.
