The Australian Centre for Student Equity and Success acknowledges Indigenous peoples across Australia as the Traditional Owners of the lands on which the nation’s campuses are situated. With a history spanning more than 60,000 years as the original educators, Indigenous peoples hold a unique place in our nation. We recognise the importance of their knowledge and culture, and reflect the principles of participation, equity, and cultural respect in our work. Event information

Founded in 2000, the International Conference on Diversity in Organisations, Communities and Nations has a history of bringing together scholarly, government, and practice-based participants with an interest in the issues of diversity and community. The conference examines the concept of diversity as a positive aspect of a global world and globalised society. It seeks to explore the full range of what diversity means and explore modes of diversity in real-life situations of living together in community.

The conference will address the following themes:

  • Identity and Belonging
  • Education and Learning in a World of Differences
  • Organisational Diversity
  • Community Diversity and Governance

Important Dates

Proposals are due to be submitted by Submit your proposal by 9 June 2017. All proposals will be reviewed within two to four weeks of submission. Once your proposal is accepted, register by one of the deadlines below to be scheduled as a presenter.

ADVANCE REGISTRATION DEADLINE: 6 September 2017
EARLY REGISTRATION DEADLINE: 6 September 2017
REGULAR REGISTRATION DEADLINE: 6 May 2018
LATE REGISTRATION DEADLINE: 6 June 2018
