The Australian Centre for Student Equity and Success acknowledges Indigenous peoples across Australia as the Traditional Owners of the lands on which the nation’s campuses are situated. With a history spanning more than 60,000 years as the original educators, Indigenous peoples hold a unique place in our nation. We recognise the importance of their knowledge and culture, and reflect the principles of participation, equity, and cultural respect in our work. We pay our respects to Elders past, present, and future, and consider it an honour to learn from our Indigenous colleagues, partners, and friends.

ACSES Evaluation Learning Program

This free, fully online training program is now live and available via Canvas. Designed to build evaluation capability among equity practitioners and higher education professionals, the program offers five key learning streams grounded in real-world examples. Participants will gain practical skills in applying evaluative thinking to their work—helping to answer critical questions like: What works, for whom, in what circumstances, how, and why?

The first two streams—Introduction to Equity Evaluation and Program Logic Models for Equity Evaluation—are now open for enrolment. Digital badges are awarded upon completion of each stream, making it easy to showcase your learning.

ACSES PLM Tool

Also now available is the ACSES Program Logic Model (PLM) Tool—an intuitive online app that helps design and evaluate equity programs by visually mapping the relationships between resources, activities, and intended outcomes. Built on the SEHEEF framework, the tool supports evidence-informed planning and communication with stakeholders. Users can create branded PLMs, export them as PDFs, and save or reimport models for future editing as programs evolve.
