The Australian Centre for Student Equity and Success acknowledges Indigenous peoples across Australia as the Traditional Owners of the lands on which the nation’s campuses are situated. With a history spanning more than 60,000 years as the original educators, Indigenous peoples hold a unique place in our nation. We recognise the importance of their knowledge and culture, and reflect the principles of participation, equity, and cultural respect in our work. We pay our respects to Elders past, present, and future, and consider it an honour to learn from our Indigenous colleagues, partners, and friends.
Equity Hub has three aims:
Empower HEPPP program practitioners with the skills they need to excel in Continues Quality Improvement (CQI) and Impact Evaluation (IE) within the SEHEEF framework.
Create an online space where we can register and organise HEPPP-funded university evaluations. It’s all about sharing knowledge and collaborating effectively within SEHEEF.
Join our Community of Practice (CoP) to swap the best evaluation practices among university equity professionals. Together, we’ll learn, grow, and make a difference.
Boosting skills
Stage 1
In this stage, we will be delivering online workshops, training materials, and resources. These resources will cover a wide array of topics, including program design, program logic, program measurement, planning for evaluation, CQI approaches, and IE techniques. Moreover, we are here to provide you with resources and practical support for navigating data collection processes, maintaining data quality standards, and mastering the art of publishing evaluation plans and findings.
Stage 2
This stage is all about selecting programs for Impact Evaluation (IE). These evaluations will be commissioned by ACSES and delivered through a collaborative approach, giving you the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in conducting IE.
Online Hub
The web portal will be your go-to destination for all things related to the Equity Hub. It will serve as a central repository where you can find a wealth of valuable resources, including evaluation outputs, training materials, and information about upcoming events linked to the SEHEEF.
We are working diligently to ensure that the first phase of the web portal is completed. This means you’ll soon have access to a treasure trove of knowledge and tools designed to support your work in the field of higher education equity.
Here’s where you come in. We are eager to foster a collaborative community. If you have been using the SEHEEF and have valuable evaluation resources or tools to share, we would love your contributions. Your insights and experiences can enrich the portal and benefit fellow practitioners.
Community exchange
Our Community of Practices (CoP) is an inclusive network of equity practitioners at universities, coming together to share their best practices, insights, and valuable experiences in evaluation of equity activities. Whether it’s about program design, implementation, monitoring, project evaluation, data infrastructure, or any related topic, the CoP is your platform to connect with like-minded individuals who are passionate about making a difference in higher education.
Throughout the year we will schedule a number of online CoP events, to ensure accessibility for the maximum number of our community. We also aim to hold one or two physical events but will aim to make these hybrid events, i.e. accessible online.
In between our scheduled gatherings, our online community within the web portal will keep the conversations going. This online space is designed to facilitate interaction and knowledge exchange among members, ensuring that you have a supportive and dynamic community to lean on throughout your journey in higher education equity.
Equity Frontiers
Our Trials and Evaluation Program’s Equity Frontiers initiative is dedicated to turning research findings into actionable solutions through rigorous testing and scaling.
