The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Pre-planning Toolkit is for people with disability entering higher education or Vocational Education and Training (VET) is designed to be used before you start a tertiary course at university or with a VET provider.
Your disability may mean you require extra support to complete your chosen course to ensure your participation is on the same basis as other students. These booklets will help you identify what supports you may need; who is responsible for providing them; and how you can access them.
There are eight specific resources for the most prevalent disability types accessing further education and training:
- Acquired Brain Injury — NDIS Pre-planning Toolkit for people with an Acquired Brain Injury entering Higher Education or Vocational Education and Training
- Autism Spectrum — NDIS Pre-planning Toolkit for people on the Autism Spectrum entering Higher Education or Vocational Education and Training
- Blind or Vision Impaired — NDIS Pre-planning Toolkit for people who are Blind or have a Vision Impairment entering Higher Education or Vocational Education and Training
- Deaf or Hard of Hearing — NDIS Pre-planning Toolkit for people who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing entering Higher Education or Vocational Education and Training
- Intellectual Disability — NDIS Pre-planning Toolkit for people with an Intellectual Disability entering Higher Education or Vocational Education and Training
- Mental Health Condition — NDIS Pre-planning Toolkit for people with a Mental Health Condition entering Higher Education or Vocational Education and Training
- Ongoing Health Condition — NDIS Pre-planning Toolkit for people with an Ongoing Health Condition entering Higher Education or Vocational Education and Training
- Physical Disability — NDIS Pre-planning Toolkit for people with a Physical Disability entering Higher Education or Vocational Education and Training
