About
The Program will fund proposals that address contemporary developments and challenges in Australian domestic higher education equity policy, practice, and evaluation, on one of the following three research priorities:
- Alternative pathways to university and impact on academic outcomes
- Student wellbeing for success
- Collaboration for student equity and success – intra-sectoral (within higher education) and inter-sectoral (higher, vocational, and secondary education)
ACSES will be funding up to three projects to the value of $150,000 (excluding GST) each.
The duration of each project is expected to be 12 months, though this may vary depending on the final contractual agreement.
Proposals are sought via a two-stage process, starting with this EOI stage followed by a second stage where successful EOI applicants are invited to submit detailed proposals (Invited Proposals) for consideration. Both stages will be overseen by the ACSES Grants & Fellowships Committee (G&FC).
The EOI stage opens on Thursday, 7 March 2024 and submissions are due before 4pm (AWST) on Wednesday, 27 March 2024.
Successful EOI applicants will be notified in mid-April and invited to submit fuller proposals. Invited Proposals are due by mid-May, with notification of outcomes taking place in June 2024.
Projects and contract negotiations are expected to commence in July 2024. Project completion and acquittal will take place by August 2025.
