The 2023 Forum for Access and Continuing Education Conference (FACE), to be held at the University of Derby is now open for bookings and the call for papers.
The FACE conference is one of the premier annual events for both practitioners and researchers with an interest in lifelong learning and widening participation in higher education.
This year’s conference will explore the importance of co-construction in the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes, activities and research with those currently under-represented in higher education. FACE wants to open up opportunities for delegates to share research and best practice where co-production and co-creation have been key facets of the construction of programmes, activities and research aimed at widening access and participation onto, through and beyond post-16 and post-18 learning.
As such their three conference themes are:
- Student/youth voice
- Teacher voice
- Employer voice
Over the three days of the conference, you will hear from key figures involved in influencing students’ lives, supporting them to achieve their ambitions and have a positive impact through their own careers.
This will include:
- Policymakers
- Students and young people
- Educationalists
- Employers
- Widening participation of practitioners and researchers
FACE would like to invite the submission of papers and workshops for the 2023 FACE conference, relevant to conference themes.
First call closing date: Friday 24 February 2023
Second call closing date: Friday 21 April 2023
